Thanks so much. Tim did an AMAZING job performing, but I must say I'm disappointed in this studio recording. The sweetness and vulnerability of his guitar playing was completely absent, and he didn't include the dramatic high notes toward the ending! I was so proud of him when he sang it live, and I was hoping the studio version would capture and enhance that spark, but alas, it pales in comparison. I still love him though =]

For some reason I think Idol is losing its quality in studio recordings. I still think these are great, and I'm an Elvis fan, but... Sometimes I wish the studio versions were just full-length versions of their live performances (you know, like it used to be?). Sometimes the awesomeness is lost now, i.e. Tim's vulnerability in this song is sorta missing, so was Lee Dewyze's performance a few weeks ago of Treat Her Like a Lady, and last year Adam Lambert's awesome take on Tracks of My Tears was also very different in the studio. It saddens me :(
